Born and raised on the North Side of Chicago, she grew up believing that her purpose would be unique. While initially studying to be a personal trainer, she picked up cutting as a hobby. Upon completion of her personal trainer certification, she was offered a position and turned it down. By then she realized her heart was now with cutting.
